I can still remember
when I was very small
I had you to look up to, &
you seemed nine feet tall!

All the things you've taught me
are part of me today,
Your example and your love
will guide me on my way.

The time that you've invested,
the hours spent in prayer
In everything you did for me,
you showed how much you care.

Today I start a brand new life
filled with anticipation;
I'm confident because I've had
your years of preparation.

Though things can never be the same
we'll never really part,
The special memories that we share
will live within my heart.

In case you didn't know it
I want to make it clear
I love you, Mom, & thank the Lord,
for a parent oh so dear.
