Mt. Stuart at 9415ft.
is without a doubt the
crown jewel of the
Central Cascades.

For climbers Mt. Stuart
offers a great climbing
challenge. You can climb
the Cascadian Couloir
which is physically
challenging but not
technical. If you want
a technical challenge. You
can try doing the North
Ridge. But you don't have
to be a climber to enjoy
the Stuart Range. The
Stuart Range also includes
the Enchantments. This
area is full of beautiful
alpine lakes. But you
can also climb in the
Enchantments. Temple
Ridge which includes
Prusik Pk., Box Top,
High Priest, and Pogo
Pinnacle offer some
great climbing.

The North Ridge of Stuart.
For climbers it's one of the truly
pure alpine climbs. The 2,800ft.
climb from the base of the ridge
to the summit is a pure joy!
Chuck on lead. Anybody
who has climbed the North
Ridge knows this pitch. It's
a blast!
The top picture
above just can't
give you the
perspective this
one can. The
valley floor is
about 3,000ft.
