Teaching Experience:
Media Specialist - Nutley, NJ                                                   September  2005-Present
Working as a Media Specialist for elementary grades K-6. Duties include automating the library, running and maintaining the media center, updating the collection, and teaching thirty-two classes per week. Participation in clubs includes Brain Teasers Club.

Media Specialist - Wallington, NJ                                              March 2003 - June 2005
Two full years working as a Media Specialist for elementary grades K-6. Duties included running and maintaining two media centers, maintaining and circulating AV equipment, automating two libraries, and teaching thirty-four classes per week. Participation in committees included Care and Share co-chair, social welfare, and cultural arts. 

Permanent Substitute - Nutley, NJ                                                   2001 to March 2003 Two years working experience with the Nutley School District at the Franklin Middle School. Long-term positions included Library/Media and English. Responsibilities involved creating and completing lesson plans, classroom management, assessment, and knowledge of curriculum

Student Teaching - Philadelphia, PA                                                            Spring 2001
Student teaching in an urban setting in Philadelphia; full responsibilities for a seventh and an eighth grade class; subjects included Colonial American History and Modern American History. Responsibilities included class management, assessment, and knowledge of curriculum.

NJASL Conference
Attend the annual NJASL (New Jersey Association of School Librarians) conference each year since becoming a Media Specialist. Collaborate with other media specialists and also learn new techniques, new equipment, and current titles for the media center.
