Knowing the social, ethical, legal, and human issues that surround the use of  technology is necessary in a P-12 school setting. The technology facilitator can assist teachers in selecting and applying appropriate resources to empower learners about cyber-ethics. The article stated how teachers can place understanding of cyber-ethics into everyday curriculum. The article conveyed that just a small statement about cyber-ethics could be made during a lesson; an example would be during an art lesson where the teacher could make statement about original work and copyright issues related to the artwork.

Artifact I is the Acceptable Use Policy of Nutley School District. The AUP is an exmaple of Standard VI because it is a guide for teachers and students to use to promote a safe and healthy use of technology that complies with legal and professional responsibilities. Also, Artifact I can assist teachers in developing a summary of effective school policies and classroom strategies for achieving equitable access to technology resources for all students.

The technology facilitator in Standard VI plans activities that focus on copyright laws related to the use of images, music, video, and other digital resources in varying formats. Artifact II is an example of an activity that could be planned. This activity is provided by the U.S. Department of Justice, where students answer questions related to social, ethical, legal, and human issues related to cyber safety and how to be a model cyber citizen.
