ACHIEVEMENTS
Operations
Supervisor
Managed a staff of 20
people in a TV station. The staff formed the first
all-news station in Oklahoma City and pioneered live, on the
scene reporting while others were editing film. It was a mix
of high technology and interacting with highly trained
technicians.
Network
Manager
Worked with affiliate
stations across the USA, kept a pay-for-view satellite
service running properly and managed one of the only
satellite uplink facilities in the state of Oklahoma. This
was a pioneering technology before it's time.
Engineer
Installed, repairied
maintained equipment that was always on the air live
included studio cameras, mixers and a few 25,000 volt
transmitter transformers. One station even had the only
klystron-based UHF television transmitter west of the
Mississippi.
Operator
Learned and worked the
various production and switching equipment was made even
more challenging because everything was changing from analog
to digital. Only those who could adapt survived.
