May Sam Goldwyn demands that JF report for the film EARTH AND HIGH HEAVEN. When she fails to show up, Goldwyn cancels the production.
Late May Mr. de Havilland complains to the press about his long-standing feud with his daughters and their neglect of him.
June 26 IVY released.
October 13 Newsweek announces that JF will star in RKO's remake of the film MAYERLING (1937). The film was never made.
Late JF and Dozier form their own production company, Rampart Productions.
1948
March 2 Charles K. Feldman files damage suit against Burt Lancaster, JF and others associated with the film KISS THE BLOOD OFF MY HANDS over film rights.
April 10 LETTER FROM AN UNKNOWN WOMAN released.
May 8 KISS THE BLOOD OFF MY HANDS completed.
June 18 EMPEROR WALTZ released.
June 21 Newsweek announces that JF will star with Gregory Peck in THE ROBE (1953).
October 29 KISS THE BLOOD OFF MY HANDS released.
November 4 Deborah Leslie Dozier is born.
November 5 YOU GOTTA STAY HAPPY released.
1949
JF takes her first trip to England and the Island of Guernsey where her father was born.
August 3 JF and Dozier call off their marriage.
August 4 Dozier leaves JF.
mid-August JF takes a trip to Italy. She begins filming SEPTEMBER AFFAIR in Italy and England.
1950
August 23 BORN TO BE BAD released.
August 25 SEPTEMBER AFFAIR released; world premiere.
September JF attends Mr. de Havilland's seventy-eighth birthday party in Victoria, British Columbia.
November 8 JF sues Dozier for divorce.
1951
January 25 JF receives divorce from Dozier.
February 1 SEPTEMBER AFFAIR makes its debut in the United States.
March The U.S. State Department asks JF to go on a film junket to South America, which she graciously accepts.
Late March JF meets a Peruvian girl, Martita Calderon. JF gains permission from Martita's parents to take her back to California.
June JF flies to Paris (Rue St. Dominique), where she meets Prince Aly Khan for the first time.
July 20 SOMETHING TO LIVE FOR completed.
August 6 DARLING, HOW COULD YOU! released.
1952
March 7 SOMETHING TO LIVE FOR released.
Late April Dozier obtains a court order to prevent JF from taking their daughter on location to Spain. In a surprise move, he also presents evidence to gain custody of the child.
June 5 IVANHOE released.
November 12 JF marries film producer Collier Hudson Young.
1953
JF considers co-starring in a television series produced by Young with his ex-wife, Ida Lupino.
January 13 DECAMERON NIGHTS released.
October 12 FLIGHT TO TANGIER released.
October 23 THE BIGAMIST released.
