National Educational Technology Standards (NETS)

published by

International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE)

The primary goal of the ISTE NETS Project is to develop national standards for educational uses of technology that facilitate school improvement in the United States. Of interest here is how the work done in the TRED 701 class addresses the standards.

The six standards for teachers are listed below. Each title links to a page which provides more detail about the standard. This includes a description of what is expected of teachers, how the standard relates to TRED 701, and links to TRED 701 projects which address the standard.

Standard I: Technology Operations and Concepts

Standard II: Planning and Designing Learning Environments and Experiences

Standard III: Teaching, Learning, and the Curriculum

Standard IV: Assessment and Evaluation

Standard V: Productivity and Professional Practice

Standard VI: Social, Ethical, and Human Issues
