Reunion Quick Facts/Activities
Date: May 18/2003 Location: Ghandi's Shaggin Wagon down at the KOA. In Attendance: Cory G, Jeff S, Ghandi. ..trying to get the wheels back in motion after a brief hiatus for the committee. Checked out the location at the KOA for the reunion, and everything I think will be fine by the time the reunion rolls around. Ghandi's on the scene to ensure things get done. He's da man. Decided finally, to send out mass email explaining costs/events/dates etc to the grads, and to urge them to send in their reg. money to confirm attendance at the reunion this summer. Address's for cheques and names to address the cheques to(explaination on main page). Broke down the costs, and placed them in the email going out to grads to let them know where their money is going. Worked out a few more details, and set a more lengthy meeting this upcoming Sun, May 25/2003 at 7pm, again, at Ghandi's Shaggin Wagon parked at the KOA. Those on the committee are strongly urged to attend to discuss further stategies for the reunion. Other than that, all info is either on this site somewhere, or in the letter I'm sending out to everyone in the next day or two, explaining both the costs broken down,as well as the list of events/dates/costs/times etc.. Stay tuned as more will be posted as it becomes available. SEND IN YOUR REGISTRATION'S ASAP PLEASE! So we can confirm numbers for attendance, and you will be put on a list on this site as soon as we deposit your money into the TRUST accnt for the reunion. Thanks Grads, see you soon! Date: March 23/03 Location: Jason H's Place ...basically, this was just a meeting to exchange contacts for grads. Nothing else was planned at this time, therefore no updates. Date: March 17, 2003 , 7:00pm Location: Dooley's Lounge /Jazz Bar In Attendance: Cory Guimond, Jeff Sweezey, Jason Howe, Leslie Hudgins Review of last Meetings Minutes: Minutes of last meeting were reviewed in discussed at length. The following is what was determined: List of Events ***"MEET AND GREET" On Friday July 26th, the Meet and Greet will begin at 6:30pm and end at 10:00pm --A bartender will be chosen to serve drinks. --Meet will be casual with finger foods such as wings, egg rolls, dips, crackers, veggies, meats etc.. ****Schmit's was chosen as the caterer for both the M&G and at the KOA on Sat evening. Best menu and best price***** ***MAIN EVENT OF THE WEEKEND--THE DANCE*** Meet for 8:00pm BBQ food will be available. Microphone will be open for prizes, jokes, funny stories..etc.. Dance starts at 10:00pm Each student could invite 2 guests. They would have to sign in after the BBQ or when the dance starts, or earlier in the day. Charge is $5 per guest.(just for the dance, not permitted to BBQ) **Looking for donations for door prizes for the various events*** Please ask your employer if they would be interested in donating anything to that effect, and let us know.*** ***BRUNCH/BBQ & FAMILY DAY*** Will take place at the Rodd on Sunday. Time to be determined. @@@Brunch is NOT included in the $30/ticket price.@@@ ******PEOPLE CONTACT***** ***Since we still had no list to divide from, we went through the yearbook, grad by grad, and we divided up the list of people we thought we'd be able to track down....working on it from there...rallying at Jason H's place to give results of week long phone calling campaign....at our own expense :( People continue to trickle in through the website. ****Fund Raising*** Liquor licence should raise $400 after paying bartender, school and license.....so ya better DRINK DRINK DRINK!! lol ****Bank Account**** Account was opened by Jeff and Jason M. on friday at the Royal Bank. Mailing address for grad's cheques will be announced shortly...stay tuned. **********Tickets---Was estimated at $30 per ticket.**** Meet and Greet + food included Camping at the campground all weekend is included in tickets Concert sat night included. Boat trip/bus included. BBQ sat night included Beverages on the island should be able to be donated. ***New photo submission sections, both for the website, as well as for the slide show on Friday night at the school. Check website for details. Next meeting to be held on March 23/03 7 pm at our gracious host's house, Mr.Jason Howe's. :)
