Date: March 10, 2003 , 7:00pm Location: Dooley's Lounge /Jazz Bar In Attendance: Cory Guimond, Jeff Sweezey, Jason Howe, Jason Manuel, Suzanne Schofield Review of last Meetings Minutes: Minutes of last meeting were reviewed in discussed at length. The following is what was determined: List of Events ***"MEET AND GREET" On Friday July 26th, the Meet and Greet will begin at 6:30pm and end at 10:00pm --A bartender will be chosen to serve drinks. --Meet will be casual with finger foods such as wings, egg rolls, dips, crackers, veggies, meats etc.. --Jason, Suzanne and cory will each contact a caterer and a decision will be made at the next meeting. ***Slide Show to be presented during the course of the evening. Get your photos to Sue for the slide show.**See 'Send pics for slide show' link on side of page. ***Choo Choo's will be the place to gather after we close down the meet and greet up at the school. Deal we worked so far: No Cover charge and drinks will cost $2.50 all night for JMH grads. People will be req'd to wear some sort of braclet. ***BEACH DAY--BAY DU VIN ISLAND*** ***A FAMILY DAY---A family gathering will start at 10:00am at Manderson's, and continue all day for those who will not or cannot attend the festivities on Bay Du Vin Island. **Suzanne will be head or organizing the events for the kiddies. ---Bus rides will begin at noon between KOA Manderson's and Bay Du Vin Wharf where we will catch the boats over to the island. We'll be stockpiling pop and chips from local grocery stores when on sale. **Suzanne will check on sponsers for dogs, burgers, buns, condiments. ***Alcohol sponsor was still not determined. ***Activities on the island will include: volley ball, water skiing, and a mini survivor series on the beach :) ***Tents will be purchased and set up for shade from the sun. They will also be donated to the class of 94 for their reunion next year. ***MAIN EVENT OF THE WEEKEND--THE DANCE*** Meet for 8:00pm BBQ food will be available. Microphone will be open for prizes, jokes, funny stories..etc.. Dance starts at 10:00pm Each student could invite 2 guests. They would have to sign in at the BBQ or when the dance starts, or earlier in the day. Charge is $5 per guest. Possibility of a Pig Roast was eliminated. Chances are, it'll be the same caterer both nights. ***BRUNCH/BBQ & FAMILY DAY*** Will take place at the Rodd on Sunday. Time to be determined. ******PEOPLE CONTACT***** People continue to trickle in through the website. Each committee member will be responsible for bringing a list of maling address's of people they can contact. At the next meeting, the remaning students to be contacted will be divided up among the members and others who wish to help out. ****Fund Raising*** Liquor licence should raise $400 after paying bartender, school and license. ****Bank Account**** Opening on this Friday. Ghandi & Jeff. **********Tickets---Was estimated at $30 per ticket. Other costs involved for the weekend will be beverage costs at the M&G and Choo Choo's at 2.50 per drink.?? Brunch at the Rodd--estimated at $10/per head Camping at the campground is included in tickets Beverages on the island should be able to be donated. ***New photo submission sections, both for the website, as well as for the slide show on Friday night at the school. Check website for details. Next meeting to be held on March 16/03 7 pm Dooleys.
