| Finally an update!! Hello folks, one last update to make here on behalf of the committee. I know I'm wayyyyy late with this, but better late than never! I just wanted to let you know that after all was said and done, we were really pleased with the turn out and the good times had by all! A special thanks goes out to those grads that travelled a great distance to be with us over that weekend, and it was great to see so many familiar faces once again. It's too bad we have to wait 10yrs to do so! Hopefully we can spark a movement to have another one in just 5yrs time, so time doesn't slip away like the last 10yrs did! Also, a special tks to all our supporters and those that help bring it together, other than the committee, such as Sobey's(Mike and Billy King), KOA Campground(Peter Manderson), Schmits' catering, JMH School , Lloyd Cameron for being the teacher presence during the friday night event so we could use the digi projector, Helen Jones for the photos, Jr. O'Neill for supplying travel to Bay du Vin Island, and all the help from all the volunteers, it was greatly appreciated and couldn't have done it without you all! Sorry if I missed anyone. Just a housekeeping note here, I will be posting pictures that I took over the weekend eventually, sorry it's taken so long as it is....and also, I will post the pictures of the JMH Quad Garden that we donated the overflow of money from the reunion(total after everything was paid--$300 above costs..) With this money, Mr. Frank Allard purchased a water pump for the fountain in the pond, Multiple flowers/shrubs/trees were planted, several bags of red cedar mulch and crushed stone for new path/walkways in the garden, and all landscaping. It was the best idea we had for the left over money, and we got a thank you card from the school, as well as a plaque which is supposed to be placed in recognition of The Grad Class of 1993's contributions to the school for the garden....with hopes of encouraging future reunion classes to invest in the school that got them started to where they are today. I will post the pics asap within the next 2 weeks.. Anyways, all the best, and stay tuned, the pics will be up shortly! cheers, JMH Reunion '93 committee staffer! :) haha... |
