| Here's a quick list of things going on at the Reunion this summer, as well as other important information: DATES: July 25, 26, 27th, 2003. COST: $30.00/person for whole weekend. (includes free camping ALL weekend at the KOA in designated area.) Friday Evening/Night--Start-6:30pm-- Meet and Greet up at the High School, where we hope to have a small bar setup to serve liquor/beverages to the Grads(at a cost of 2-2.50/drink), a spread of finger foods for us to eat, as well as a slide show of all grads if they send their various pictures into Sue. This will take place from 6:30pm-10:00pm, and after this event draws to a close, people have the choice to come down to Choo-Choo's(former Whooper) where we have worked a deal to have the upstairs of the bar solely for our grad class, and of course the beautiful deck overlooking the river. There, drinks will be $2.50 all night long for grads of 1993, as well as free cover charge to get in. Maybe even some entertainment...not sure yet though. This is where we will finish off the first night of the Reunion. Saturday Morning-Starting at 10:00am, will be a Family Fun Day at the KOA Campground, where there will be all kinds of games/activities for the kids, prizes for them, AS WELL AS A FREE BBQ FOR THE KIDS, etc. This event will continue until 1pm, or there abouts, but families are welcome to continue the day swimming in the pool, playing mini golf, going to the beach, etc...(Lots of help would be appreciated to help corral the kiddies :) ) Beginning at 1pm on Saturday, we have a bus ride!!..For those that want/can, we have a bus that will be making runs all day from the KOA campground down to Bay du Vin Wharf where we will get dropped off to board the boats to take the grads over to Bay Du Vin Island for the afternoon. Boats will be coming and going approx every 1/2 hour between the island and the wharf, so you don't have to stay the whole day if you don't want to. You can expect games/activities over on the island for the Grads, maybe even to the tune of a 'Survivor' type atmosphere..haha. Pray for good weather! Due to the fact of travelling on water, liquor etc.., we decided it was too dangerous to let the kids be a part of this activity. BYOB for the trip to the island, and to the main event that night. Boats will be taking everyone back around 6-7pm to catch the bus back down to the KOA for the feed and party. MAIN EVENT--Saturday Night--BYOB Starting at 8pm, we will have an all you can eat spread of burgers, hot dogs, wings, sausages, salads, veggie trays etc.. for the grads in the building closest to the road at the KOA Campground. There will be an open mic for anyone who wants to tell stories, jokes, sing..whatever....and we hope to have some contests/trivia for the grads, and award prizes thoughout the night as the festivities continue. Door prizes have all be donated. If you have a company that might want to give door prizes, please contact one of us on the committee. Then beginning at 9 or 10pm, ECHO(Who plays all over the river, and at the Bay du Vin days frequently) will take the stage giving us some great music to dance the night away and have an all out BLAST!...God knows when this will finish!! That's it for Sat night, unless you're camping down there...haha, party all night! Grads can bring 2 guests(not registered) each for the DANCE ONLY, at a cost of $5/per guest. Tickets will be available for them at the M&G Friday night, and Sat afternoon at KOA. Sunday Morning-- Beginning at 9-10am, we thought we could have a farewell brunch down at the Rodd Hotel at the Angler's Reel. Beautiful surroundings to eat in just before we say good bye to each other. This is NOT included in the price of the Grad Tickets. I think that's it, but may have more in a little while. |
