INTRODUCTION

From September 30, 2000 to October 7, 2000 John and Wayne spent 8 days backpacking in the Grand Canyon. The 45 mile trip began at the trailhead of the New Hance Trail on the South Rim and ended at the trailhead of the Salt Trail Canyon on the Navaho Indian Reservation. The purpose of this web site is to share our excellent adventure with the hope that our experiences will benefit others who may be considering a similar hike.
