Nara, the ancient capital of Japan before Tokyo and Kyoto. Therefore, the prefecture keeps severals historical buildings and national heritage of Japan. Toudaiji is famous tourist spot in Nara city, well known with the biggest indoor Buddha sitting statue in the temple. The wide path in front of the temple is made of stones and marbles from India, China, Korea and Japan(from both sides to center), shows the route how Buddhism is brought to Japan.
