1.  Visit all of the following websites and take notes on:
       - use of a protractor
       - acute, obtuse, right angles
       - complementary angles
       - supplementary angles
       - vertical angles
       - alternate interior angles
       - alternate exterior angles
       - corresponding angles
       - parallel and perpendicular lines

2.  From your notes create a poster or deck of cards for all your angles and angle measures listed in Step One.


3.  Visit the two websites below and carefully read through all of the pages and do what they say to do.  If you are       having any difficulty seeing the relationships between vertical angles, corresponding angles, or alternate interior         angles, pay close attention because the visuals in these websites are EXCELLENT.

5.  Visit the site below and do problems 1-8.  Try your best to go through and do all the problems on your own.  Then go back through and check all of your work.  If you got a problem wrong make sure you read the explanation.               Remember to take good notes because these problems (with appropriate work shown) can be used in your                  "cookbook of recipes".

7.  Now using your notes from steps four, five, and six assemble your "cookbook of recipes".  Remember to include one problem of complementary angles, supplementary angles, corresponding angles, vertical angles, alternate interior         angles, and alternate exterior angles...all of which should involve using algebra to solve them. 



8.  This is your last stop on your webquest journey.  Now that you've become an expert on angle measures, I want you to show me what you've learned.  Please visit the site below and click on angles.  Once you get to the quiz page          please change the left hand column to this:

and check off the folowing topics: Line, Parallel, and Measure.  This will count as a 20 point quiz grade, so once         your score appears please call me over so I can give you credit.  In order to receive a quiz grade, I must see your         score on the screen.

IMPORTANT TEACHER NOTES

    This is a single disciplinary webquest that will take place in a computer lab so every student will have their own computer.  Teachers should plan on spending atleast five days in the computer lab and then making themselves available before/after school for any students that need extra time.  Putting the poster/deck of cards and the "cookbook of recipes" together can be started in school and then finished at home. 

     When going through this webquest it is very important you wear comfortable shoes because you will be running around the computer lab answer multiple questions.  Make sure you are always visable and willing to help students out.  This webquest is a great tool for students to monitor their own learning, and it is always a great way for you to get to spend extra time with the students that really need your help.
