5Days - 4Nights Baliem Valley Tour
Day 01 : JAYAPURA - ARRIVAL
(L,D)
Arrive at Sentani airport of Jayapura, meet
and transfer by c ar in 10 minutes drive to Sentani Indah Hotel in Jayapura for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 02 : JAYAPURA - WAMENA - JIWIKA - WAMENA
(BLD)
Early breakfast at hotel, then transfer by
car to the airport for departure by Merpati airlines leaving for Wamena.
Arrive at Wamena airport transfer to Baliem Pilamo hotel for check in and
a short briefing by guide about the trip. Walk to Nayak market and see
the unique life of people. From the
market, proceed to Kurima in the south
of Baliem valley. Here you will visit the traditional Dani villages and
walk entering their sweet potatoes garden. We will hike for approximately
2 -3 hours through the beautiful countryside and hearth break panoramic.
Prepared lunch in boxes will be served enroute to the village, afternoon
drive back to Wamena with a stop at Wesaput to see the Dani Museum. Dinner
and accommodation at hotel.
Day 03 : WAMENA
- AIKIMA - ETAE DANCE&nbssp; (BLD)
After breakfast at the hotel, 20 minutes
drive to Aikima village then walk 1,5 hours to Suroba village. Along the
way you will find the Danis working in their sweet potatoes fields and
will see their daily activities. Arrive at Suroba, walk through the pine
forest, enjoy the beautiful nature setting and crossing a bridge over Aike
river before you arrive at the main road where the car is waiting for you.
Continue to Jiwika and lunch at Lauk Inn restaurant. After lunch, walk
20 minutes to the village of Sumpaima to view the 250 years old Mummy.
From Sumpaima walk another 10 minutes to the nearby village of Anemoigi
to witness the traditional dance. You will see and experience the
local culture and have an opportunity to interact with local villagers.
Late afternoon drive back to Wamena for dinner at a local restaurant in
town accommodation at Baliem Pilamo Hotel.
Day 04 : WAMENA - JAYAPURA
(BLD)
Breakfast at hotel, transfer to the airport
for your flight leaving for Jayapura. Upon your arrival at Sentani airport
of Jayapura, continue with a sightseeing visit Mc. Arthur war memorial,
Sentani lake, Hamadi Beach and Souvenirs shops. Lunch will be served at
local restaurant, transfer to the hotel for your dinner and accommodation.
Day 05 : DEPARTURE (B)
After breakfast at your hotel, transfer to
the airport leaving Jayapura for the next destination.
