MUSIC ROOM BOX (3 views) Three photos are required because this room box is quite large. All of the rose colored upholstered furniture was made by Susan Hoeltge, long before she confined her work to small scales only. The Chippendale settee, candlestands and two half-round "card" tables are made from Xacto kits, the harp is by Robert Chucka, the harpsichord, bench and breakfront are from the Goebel "Butterfly Collection". The lady seated at the harp is an early Hazel Samuelson doll and the four other dolls were kits from Glass Concepts, assembled & dressed by a friend. The chandeliers are by The Lighting Bug and the tapestry is from The Keshishian Collection.
Just Pals (Two Views) This little girl's bedroom with two adorable dolls by Delores Coles contains commercial wire wicker furniture. I dressed the bed and made the chair cushions & pillows. The two tiny dolls in the etagere, barely visible, are by Carol Kubesh.
THE COLONIAL BEDROOM (3 Views) The bed and chair are by Nancy Neuman, the highboy is an Xacto kit as is the daybed (chaise) and three small tables. The needlepoint rug and daybed upholstery I made to match the colors in the Mini Graphics Wisteria wallpaper. The tea caddy on the mantle is another piece by Bob Chucka, whose work can be seen at the Kansas City Museum
MAUVE BEDROOM (3 views) The lady doll is by Liz Staryk and the man I asked Carol Kubesh to make for this setting. The bed, table and 3 panel screen were made by me, the latter with a d. Anne Ruff kit. The cracker, cheese & champagne on the table are by Mary Eccher. I know the quilt has hundreds of tiny stitches in it because I put them there.

Quiet Corner Vignette (3 Photos) The lovely rug, framed picture and matching bell pull were made by my sister, Vera Abraham, as a gift. (Lucky me!) The wing chair and love seat are by Susan Hoeltge. You've seen or will see a lot of her one inch pieces in my collection. The Faberge-type egg on the table next to the love seat was a gift from Sherry Waldschmidt....again, lucky me. The vase of peonies was made by Beverly Bogenschild. The fern atop the Carlson cabinet was made by me and the needlework is by Sharon Garmize, a gift at a Theme Luncheon at a NAME Houseparty.
Egyptian Tomb (2 views) I have been intrigued by Ancient Egypt ever since I was a child very many years ago and so creating a mini tomb was inevitable, especially when I found a Hasbro toy mummy case at a rummage sale for 10 cents. It is plastic, complete with a plastic mummy inside. It was marbelized aqua in color and I painted it gold. I should gold leaf it some day. My daughter, Julie, painted the three walls for me and I found the other accessories in museum shops. Ginny "Wolfie" Simmons made the doll for me. I have not decided why she is smiling. Perhaps her marriage to the Pharoah was not perfect and his demise was not an"unhappy" occurrence???
Valentine Candy Box Vignette A friend figured out a way to elevate the cover of the candy box so I could make this scene. I made the table, the chair is by Susan Hoeltge, the wicker plant stand with silk roses was made by Madeline Whyte, the box of tiny chocolates is by Nancy Neuman, whose work you will see elsewhere in my collection.
Distance view of three vignettes to follow The Valentine candy box Vignette, Easter candy box Vignette and the Quiet Corner Vignette are shown. Each vignette will be featured in several following photos as well as the Mary Cassatt corner box hidden here by the Valentine vignette.
Easter Vignette in a candy box (2 views) Again, my friend came through with the elevated cover design to make a vignette. In an earlier photo, you can see that the box is egg shaped. Chrysnbon furniture kits were used. Barbara Cervantes made the Easter lily and the big bunny on the left side table. The 2 outside sugar eggs with chicks inside were by Sherry Waldschmidt. I made the Easter bonnet and the lamb pull toy.
A Tribute to Mary Cassatt Mary Cassatt is my favorite painter and the "half doll" is from Famous Women Heritage series. I found perfectly scaled pictures on the back cover of a Mary Cassatt calendar, all replicas of the large ones inside. How lucky can one get?? I researched to learn what kind of furnishings she had in her French chateau and also saw a picture of her dog, which was a similar breed.

Needle Nook (3 views) This quarter-round room box developed when I made the Sylvia Hanson fabric tables & ribbon racks for a DHM Kit Review. I was lucky enough to find sewing motif fabric to cover the box. The girl's dress on a hanger I made in a class by Mary Haworth. The 2 sewing baskets were also made in a class. The marvelous shopper is a doll by Jackie Transue, an IGMA artisan.
Turn-About Box (2 views) This was a club project but we all did own own subject matters. The doll is by Liz Staryk, the hollyhocks I made in a workshop, the daisies were made by Sherry Waldschmidt, the irises by Kim Sphar (a gift), the blue vase by Carol Pogranic, the table floral arrangement is from a NAME House Party & was a gift to me. The parquet floor was laid individually by me. Stonework is papier mache egg cartons cut up.
