Warwick University Darts Society
Founded seven years ago, Warwick Darts Society has worked hard to
gain the status it has today. Eager to break away from the traditional
stigma attached to darts we not only offer fun weekly socials where
our members can mix and play people of all abilities but also provide
an annual tournament and away matches for seasoned players.
Our aim is to encourage people of all ages and nationalities to come
along and join in and we have had a wide variety of members,
both postgraduate and undergraduate, from as far apart as Uganda,
America, Britain, Ireland and China. Warwick Darts Society is thus
not only a central support for the game of darts within Warwick's
Student's Union but also a friendly place where people of all
backgrounds and abilities can meet and enjoy themselves in a relaxed
atmosphere.
For the last four years I have been a member of the society, working firstly as communications officer (i.e. I sent out a few emails!!!) and in my final year as the events coordinator.
Seeing as I've just started building my own website, I thought I'd put a few things from the society on here. You can find some photos of the various things we got upto in the gallery section, and some reports and summaries of the matches and tournaments held throughout the year.
