Types of Dartboard

Whatever else you do when choosing which board to buy, the most important thing is to make sure its a bristle dartboard (which is what you'd most likely be given if you just asked for a dartboard, but it never hurts to make sure!!).

As for the make, I personally recommend Winmau boards over Harrow boards every time, although the main difference between types of boards is whether staples are used to secure the wires in place: Most standard dartboards use staples, however, they tend to cause more "bounce outs" than those without, so if you have the cash to spare, invest in a staple-free dartboard (such as the Blade II board) for any tournament/match play you might be having.

Dimensions to hang a Dartboard
