About Darts
Okay, okay: I realise this is the first link on the menu, so you've probably come straight here, but I haven't done this page yet. The others are good though... even if there's a couple more that aren't quite finished!!
Darts Trivia #1
What defines the order of the numbers on a dartboard?
They were arranged by a Lancashire carpenter called Brian Gamlin in 1896.
He wanted to make it as difficult as possible for people to score highly
by random throwing. He simply put low numbers next to high ones so, for
instance, one and five are either side of twenty and seventeen sits between
two and three. Gamlin must have scratched his head for a while, as he had
121,645,100,408,832,000 possible combinations to choose from!
