 This page contains the questions that I have been asked by interviewers during my interviews at various companies like IBM, Spar Aerospace, Royal Bank of Canada, VoiceGenie Technologies, Mitra Imaging Inc., Waterloo Maple...etc. I'm not arranging them by company but just numbering them randomly. I only started making a note of the questions recently so I don't remember all the questions that I have been asked, but here are some....

Interview 1:

1. Why did you apply to our company?

2. What kind of job are you looking for?

3. What do you plan to do after graduation?

4. What do you want to learn at the end of this work-term?

5. What would you like to learn that you don't know now?

6. What are three advantages of object-oriented programming?

7. What is the difference between inheritance & composition?

8. Why are you in the program that you are in?

Interview 2:

1. What are you strengths & weaknesses?

2. Who was the best manager you had? Why?

3. What did you learn in your previous job?

Interview 3:

1. What work/project did you do in teams? What problems did you face? How did you overcome those problems? What was the outcome of the project?

2. What methodology do you follow in problem solving?

3. Describe a project that means a lot to you. In which you learned a lot.

4. What challenges did you face in the projects?

5. How was the work distributed in the projects? What did you do?

6. What was a technical problem you faced & how did you solve it?

Interview 4:

1. How do you keep up-to-date with technologies?

2. What are you strong & weak work-related points?

3. What do you plan to do after Bachelors? What kind of job would you like?

4. Which courses do you enjoy the most?

5. Where did you learn Linux?

6. What do you think of ___ ? (this was basically, a technology developed by the company)

Interview 5:

1. Describe your previous jobs. What did you like about each?

2. What leadership experience do you have?

3. Which JDK version have you used?

4. How did you learn Linux?

5. What reading interests do you have?

6. Which courses courses do you like & dislike?
