Welcome to Jarabeck´s Rotating Cocktail Cabinet for MAME

With one ideia, many memories in my head and MAME in my hands, a project was born:

Jarabeck´s Rotating Cocktail Cabinet for MAME

Apparently simple but it dares any person who played those fabulous arcade games from the past, trying to reflect the real sensation of playing games on the real environment, such as full rotated images on screen, die-hard joysticks and buttons as hard as steel.

The Encounter

After meeting MAME emulator several weeks ago I was very impressed with the fidelity and exactness of the emulation, and after seeing many games that I played while a teenager I decided to bring those memories permanently to my home building this arcade console.

The Project

Trying to get the most of this project and not sacrifying the beauty/design of a piece that will be shown inside my house, I choose to build the "cocktail" version of the well know "arcade machines". As my wife said, "I don´t want this coffin in my living room!".

In some way, this easied the project since I didn´t have to lead with huge amount of wood, dirty, small space, cutting/drilling noise, etc (I live in an apartment)
