8. Final Touches
First Surprise...
As my cabinet will not have a roof (since it is a cocktail
cabinet, daaah) and I wanted to put the MAME logo somewhere
on it, I decided to use a kind of backlight effect using 2 acrylic
tablets with the logo inside.
That´s the reason of the little (and wider) cut on the
table, letting the light pass through and hitting the acrylic.
It´s a simple and nice effect!
To confine the light I used an old plastic box I found in my
hardware junk (it´s a microphone box)
With the help of 2 metalic supports the light bulb could be
easily reached and removed at any time for maintainance.

Second Surprise!
Again, I found in my hardware junk an old touchpad that will
be very helpful to navigate through Windows - most of the Windows
configurations could be easily made with just a mouse, so I
tought it was a good ideia to have this guy accessible on the
table.
This touchpad is currently using the serial port of the motherboard.

Better safe than sorry!
As many games will be using the rotating feature I thought
it was a good idea to supply additional fresh air to the computer
monitor.
I found a huge fan for about $3 dollars. It´s a 12 Volts
- 300mA fan so it was easily connected to the power supply.
And the results were espectacular! Even on the rotated state
the monitor is completely cold!
And it´s easy to assemble too! I used only 2 screws over
the ventilation holes of the monitor. They adapted perfectly.
It took just 2 minutes to accomplish that.

Well, the last but not least, I added the speakers to the cabinet.
Digging through many hardware junk depots I found these beauties
for about $9 dollars.
They came with a power transformer and have 50 Watts PMPO per
channel. Good enough for those mono-noises, isn´t it?
My luck was to find these speakers in this shape, since we
always find those little ugly boxes. They perfectly matched
the size and width of the table´s legs.
