Today we suffered the loss
of so many friends we loved so dear,
and even as we grieve for them
in our our hearts they are still near.
Often times, in our grief,
we forget the life our loved ones had,
and though their passing causes pain,
forgetting their life hurts twice as bad.
In this life they touched so many
and made differences each and every day,
they lived their lives to the fullest
even when their sky’s were gray.
We experienced their wit and wisdom,
their compassion and their pain.
We saw when they were angry
and when they were happy once again.
They had their ups and downs in life,
because they, too, walked this mortal land,
but they accepted each triumph and tragedy as it came,
knowing that it was all part of God’s plan.
But, in their trying times you’ll find
They’d hold their heads high while standing tall,
Knowing that with their family’s love
they could withstand it all.
They faced their final battle
with dignity and grace,
never did they falter
in spite of the tragedy they faced.
Today they take their final rest,
for their earthly trials are finally through.
They have gone now to sit beside Jesus,
where they’ll be watching over you.
May we not forget while we are grieving,
that though their mortal life is done
Their memory lives forever
in our hearts, each and every one.
We say, Thank you for the memories,
those with fondness we recall,
Also, for the example of strength ,
You showed throughout it all.
We will not say farewell to them
nor will we say goodbye.
For we are destined to meet again
in Jesus Kingdom in the sky.
So, we must go on living,
doing our best throughout each and every day.
following the examples set
by the loved one’s we lost today.
