We shall not say Goodbye to You,
with it’s air of finality.
Instead we will only say,
Till once again We meet!
We shall not say Goodbye to You,
Even though You are not here.
Our Love for You will keep on growing
as each memory keeps You near.
Though You are no longer with us,
You will be forever in Our Hearts.
We will not say Goodbye this day,
Instead, Till Were no longer apart!
We shall not say Goodbye to You,
though there are those who would say We must.
Because You will live forever
in the memories of You inside of Us.
This poem is dedicated to all of those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001, in the greatest tragedy to ever befall this Great nation of ours. You will all be missed. The loss of your collective wit, wisdom, love and kindness will forever leave a gaping wound in this Nation’s hearts.
Your lives have touched so many, and your death so many more. Those who knew you in life were better for having known you. And those of us who have come to know you in your deaths are forever indebted to you. Your sacrifice will not be in vain, and your lives will not be forgotten. This country will become even Greater because of the sacrifice you unwilling, yet unselfishly made. Because the lessons learned will be remembered and and the mistaakes made will never, never, ever be repeated.
Our prayers go out to you on your journey, and our love and prayers are with your families. We grieve for you and with them. You will be missed.
