Number 8:

NCSA - National Center for Supercomputing Applications

Number 7:

Dave's Site!
There is some very good information on this site. Also, there is a cool interactive tutorial that gives the opportunity to try out things right in the tutorial. The only caveat to the site is all the advertisements. Overall this is a good site, just be ready to close some extra pop-up windows.

This site or one like it is a must for anyone building a web site. The information is geared towards the design of a web page instead of just how to use the code. There is some good information in here on how to create a functional design that is pleasing to the end user.

Try this site after having been through some of the beginner's tutorials. There is some beginning information in here, but it gets advanced fairly quickly. The goal of this site is to share technical information for the people that build web sites every day. This is a definitely a must see, but not the first site to be seen.
