Having administered an SMS System for several years now, I have designed, modified, or stumbled across some useful tools that fit my needs. Some of these tools are listed on this page. Feel free to download and use whatever you may find useful. If my program is a modification of someone elses program, I have also included a link to the original program.
SMS Active Directory Synchronization Tools
These tools are used to copy information contained in Active Directory over to the SMS database. This allows the SMS Collection structure to match the Active Directory structure of the enterprise. The original version of this software was distributed by microsoft and is available for download on the Microsoft Website
I have only made a couple of changes in these programs to make automating the programs much easier. These changes include moving the location of the registry settings and implementing the use of command line options that will override the registry settings. My new version of the program is very easy to run using the scheduler. The command line options allow for multiple OU structures to be collected without having to make registry changes.
