EDUCATION: 1932 Graduate of Carnegie Institute of Technology - Electrical Engineering. 1935 Graduate of University of Pittsburgh School of Law. PROFESSION: Self-employed Attorney since 1935 with the exception of service in World War II. In 1973, he was joined by his son, Jack Steiner and formed the law firm of Steiner and Steiner.

WW II Army Air Force Veteran. He was commissioned 2nd Lt. in the Army Air Force in 1942 and he was discharged in 1946 as a Major. Intelligence Officer of the 20th Fighter Group, Eighth Air Force stationed in Kingscliffe, England.

After his military service, he wrote Kingscliffe which is now in its third edition. It is the story of the 20th Fighter Group and the pilots and crew of the P38s and P51s which accompanied the bomber outfits on missions over Germany.

He had long been active in the Armstrong County and Pennsylvania Bar Associations.

He served in many civic activities Member and Past President Ford City Kiwanis

Founder, Member and Past Commander Ford City VFW Post 4843

Active member and Past President American Cancer Society

Past President Armstrong Chapter American Red Cross

Active in United Way and Middle Armstrong Co. Development Organization

Longtime member of the Board of Directors of Armstrong Co. Memorial Hospital. He was instrumental in the construction of the current hospital and was awarded the Benjamin Rush award for outstanding service.

Ford City Lions Club Man of the Year

Kittanning B�nai B�rith Lodge Man of the Year

Greater Kittanning Area Junior Chamber of Commerce Professional Man of the Year He was active with the Boy Scouts for over 60 years. He was the Scout Master of Troop 662 of Ford City for 10 years. He was Past President of Pioneer Trails Council covering a three county level. He received many honors in scouting including the Silver Beaver for council service and the Silver Antelope for regional service.
