| #10-#6 | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Songs 10 through 6 are truly awesome songs. These songs spent a minimum of 15 weeks on the chart (One of them even spent 20 there). They all peaked no lower than #3, and two of them even did some time at the top of the chart. Only some extremely awesome songs could beat out these songs for the Top 5 spots and, of course, the coveted #1 slot for the year. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| #10: Ocean Avenue-Yellowcard The title track of Yellowcard's latest disc was anything but a disappointment. It's only downfall was being too popular on radio. However, the song itself was truly a quality song, and that is why it leads off this year's Top 10. Debuting the week of March 17, Ocean Avenue spent a total of 15 weeks on the chart, peaking at #2. The song truly is an awesome, and no amount of radio overplay can change that fact. |

| #9: I Go Back-Kenny Chesney Kenny Chesney makes his second appearance on the Top 25 with his reminiscent song about "the good ol' days", I Go Back. Chesney writes about great and bad times in this song, from the song that takes him back to "A blanket, a girl and some raspberry wine," to the song that takes him to "the loss of a real good friend." The song debuted on the chart the week of June 9, and it spent a total of 15 weeks on the chart, peaking for a few weeks at #3. Kenny knows how to make country music, and this is another great example of that fact. |

| #8: Closure-Chevelle Chevelle's first appearance in the Top 25 is here at #8, which says a lot about Chevelle and their music. Closure is a quality song, and its time on the chart showed that. Debuting the week of January 14, Closure just refused to leave the chart. It spent a total of 20 weeks on the chart, two of which were spent in the #1 slot. This song was truly awesome, and a great single to finish off a great disc. Their next single would come from their next disc, and it will show up in just a few. |

| #7: Memory-Sugarcult Sugarcult. The name of the band doesn't exactly scream quality music. And yet they produced one of the most infectious songs of the year. Memory simply got stuck in your head for hours after you heard it. It debuted on this chart the week of May 19. Memory would spend a total of 15 weeks on the chart, peaking for quite a few weeks at #3. This solid and consistent showing week after week allowed Memory to be one of this year's Top 10. |

| #6: Numb-Tait And now we come to the second "Numb" on the Top 25. Linkin Park had a solid effort with their Numb, but Tait's was just that much better. Featuring Rob Beckley of Pillar also helped this hard rock song become one of the greatest of the year. Numb duked it out with...well, Numb...throughout each of their times on the chart. Tait's "Numb" charted on the first chart at #4 and, in its fifth week, took over the #1 spot from Linkin Park's song. It would then spend five consecutive weeks in the top spot, and spent a total of 16 on the chart. This solid showing pushed Tait into the Top 10. |
