Hawaiian Hula Show
I dragged Teddy to see the Hawaiian Hula Show which has been around since 1937, showing off traditional Hawaiian music and dance and teaching naive tourists how to hula. |
Teddy is a natural. |
My turn! |
Teddy is such a funny boy. |
Hanauma Bay
One of my all-time favorite things to do is snorkel. I was so excited when I heard that you could practically touch the fishes at Hanauma Bay. I went crazy snorkeling around with my underwater camera. We had a little incident when Teddy decided snorkeling was much too tame for him and swam out further, realizing too late that an undercurrent was carrying us out to the breakline and that the snorkeling equipment cut off our breathing pipe whenever the waves crashed overhead. We had to quickly rip off our breathing masks and swim back to calmer waters. I don't think Teddy is particularly fond of snorkeling anymore. |
Pearl Harbor
This is a view of the sunken U.S.S. Arizona from the Arizona Memorial at Pearl Harbor. |
Teddy reads from the memorials of ships and submarines lost in WWII. |
"Walk softly and carry a big stick." |
Saying that a submarine has "tight quarters" is an understatement. |
I admit it: I like big guns! |
