Area of Operations
The area of operational responsibility of Ashfield-Leichhardt SES covers the Sydney suburbs of Annandale, Ashfield, Balmain (including Balmain East), Birchgrove, Haberfield, Leichhardt, Lilyfield, Rozelle and Summer Hill. The Area of operations also covers the eastern part of Croydon and the fringes of Croydon Park, Hurlstone Park and Ashbury.
Ashfield-Leichhard is also part of Sydney Western Division and has support roles in Nepean and Hawkesbury River flood rescue plans.
From time-to-time the unit is called to assist in out-of-area roles with other SES Units and in support roles with Police, Fire, Rural Fire and Ambulance operations.
