12 October 2003 Carnivale of Cultures. Ashfield-Leichhard SES is to have a large static display at the Carnivale of Cultures to be held in Ashfield Park on Sunday 12 October from 10am to 4pm. People are wlcome to come and talk with our members in regards to being involved with the SES. There will also be guest appearances by the SES mascot, Paddy the Platypus.
26 August 2003 Ashfield-Leichhardt appear in SES Media with Sydney's Channel 10 and a crew developing training material for SES Operations filming the removal of a large tree that fell across a lane-way and onto a second-storey balcony during the 25 August wind-storm. Rescue 1 and a 20tonne crane were in attendance with Rescue 2 assisting.
