Rudolf Oskar Irmer alias Gottschalk wrote already narrative aviation stories during WWI. One of his best known books was "Oswald Boelcke - an aviator life" of 1916. In 1922 Irmer joint Junkers Flugzeugwerke and became member of the PR Departement. Since 1923 he was responsible for the editorial of the "Junkers Nachrichten".
