Achterberg, Fritz

Fritz Achterberg was born in 1901 and studied at Danzig and Berlin University. In 1924 he received his pilot license and joint Deutscher Aero Lloyd, which later was absorbed by Luft Hansa. Achterberg became managing director of Lufthansa's test department in August 1932.

In 1935 he joint Junkers Flugzeugwerke. He became the technical director and joint Untucht's Ju86 flight from Dessau to Bathurst in 1936. In September 1936 he became member of the board of IFM directors and he was the deputy chairman of this board until September 1938. Achterberg was also the facility manager of Junkers Motorenwerke at Dessau. In this position Achterberg enforced the Junkers Diesel Oil Engines for passenger aircraft. He died during a crash with an A48 in June 1939 near Angermuende.

Angelroth, Herbert-Armin

Herbert Angelroth joint Junkers in August 1923. In 1925 he became financial manager of Junkers Luftbild Zentrale, which was part of Junkers Luftverkehr. When Junkers Luftverkehr was absorbed by Luft Hansa in 1926, the Luftbild Zentrale was integrated into Junkers Flugzeugwerke and Angelroth swapped over to Junkers Flugzeugwerke. He left Junkers in September 1932 and later joint the newly formed Luftwaffe. He was killed during a car accident in 1943.

Arntzen, Heinrich Johann

Arntzen performed his aerodynamic and engineering studies at TH Aachen. He designed several self built aircraft before WWI and received a FAI pilot license in 1913. Between 1914 and 1918 Arntzen was member of the Fliegertruppe and finally took over an own fighter squadron in January 1918.

In August 1923 Arntzen joint Junkers Flugzeugwerke and became assistant of the technical director. Since 1924 Arntzen became the responsible manager of the JFAG coordination unit to foreign production units, i.e. the Fili and Limhamn plants. As a member of the JFAG Sales Departement Arntzen organized a Yemen expedition in 1927. In 1928 Arntzen proposed an all metal sport aircraft, which was influenced from his market knowledge. This aircraft was finally developed by Pohlmann as the Junkers A50.

In January 1930 Arntzen left Junkers and joint Duerener Metallwerke AG. In 1935 Arntzen founded his own company, "Arntzen Leichtbau KG" at Brackwede, which was dissolved in 1945 by the Allies. He restarted in 1950 with an engineering office for light metal constructions and thermodynamic applications.

Augenreich was manager of the billing account departement of the Magdeburg plants of Junkers Flugzeug und Motorenwerke AG during the final years. In 1956 he became member of the board of directors of the "Hugo Junkers Gesellschaft".
