| Upon the petiton of John Hinchman against Levi Larou. It is considered by the court ahat the plantif recover against the defendant three pounds seventeen shillings and his cost by him in his behalf expended. The petition of James McColloch against Patrick Boyd on the motion of the defendant by his attorney continued till the next court at his costs. pon the petition of John Deam against Bradly Meredith. It is considered by the court that the plantiff recover against the defendant tree pounds twoshillings and his costs by him in this behalf expended. The petition of Patton and Jordan against Christopher Handly the agreement of the parties is dismissed and it is ordered that the defendant pay unot the plantiffs their costs. The petition of Robert Nickle and John Thompson against James Byrnside is continued till the nextg court. The petition of the same against William Gullett is on the motion of the plantiff by their attorney continued till the next court at their costs. The petition of Thomas Edgar against Francis Farle is on the motion of the plantiff by his attorney continued till the next court at hs costs. A deed of Bargain and Sale from David Scarbrough and elizabeth his wife to Joseph Wiseman was further roved bythe oath of William Campbell another of the witnesses thereto and is ordered to be recorded. John charlton is appointed a Constable in this county in the room of John Cottell in the bounds of Capt. Nickles Company and ordered that he be qualified accordingly. Ordered that Alexander Montgomery, Owen Neil and John Louderback being first sworn view the road from the county line at the turn of the waters to Ralph Gates's mark and make report to the court whether any and what alterations and amendments are necessary in the said road and that these and Alexander Montgomery return an account of the tithables who formerly worked on the said road under him to the court. Ordered that James Alexander, James Handly, Edward Kinon, Ralph Gates and William Blanton being first sworn view the road from Ralph Gates's to this place and report to the court what alteration and amendments necessary in the said road and that the said Ralph Gates return an amount of the tithables who formerly worked under him on the said road to the court. Ordered that Felox Williams, Henry McDaniel, Jr. and Alexander Hutchison being first sworn view and mark the best way for a road from the county line at the end of Peters Mountain on New River to the Indian Creek Road on the most direct way to this place and make report thereof to the court. Ordered that James Alexander, John Byrnside and Isaac Estill, Gent. being first sworn view and mark the best most direct and convenient way for a road from this place tojoin the road from the county line to Indian Creek and make report thereof to the court. Ordered that Michael Erskine, James Gray, Robert Nickle, James Glenn and James Young being first sworn view and mark the best and most convenient way for a road from this place to Second Creek on the most direct course to St. Laurence and make report thereof to the court. Ordered that William Graham, James Gwinn, Jr. and Robert Johnston being first sworn view and mark the best and nighest way for a road from Greenbrier River opposite to James Grahams to the top of Swopes Knobs in the course to this place and make report thereof to the court. Ordered that James Alexander, Zadock Low, and Francis Best being first sworn, view and mark the nighest and best way from the top of Swopes Knobs where the other viewers stop to this place. Ordered that Joseph Swope, Levi Lowe,George Swope, John Alford and Thomas Alderson being first sworn view and mark the nighest and best way for a road from Aldersons Ferry to the dividing waters at Lewis Costlers in the course to this place and make report thereof to the court. Ordered that Matt Farley, Daniel Jarrel, and James Elliston being first sworn view and mark the best and nighest way for a road from Lafferty's to Jesse Greens and make report thereof to the court. Ordered that Jesse Green, James Fitzpatrick, and Wilson Maddy being first sworn view and mark the best and nighest way for a road from Jesse Green's to Isaac Estill and make report thereof to the court. |
