A deed of bargain and Sale from William Maddy and Elizabeth his wife to George Parsons was acknowledged by the said William Maddy and Elizabethhis wife she the said Elizabeth being first privately sworn as the law directs and is ordered to be recorded

Two deeds of Bargain and Sale from John Hutchison and Rebeckah his wife to Samuel Pack were acknowledged by the said John Hutchison and Rebeckah his wife she the said Rebeckah being first privately sworn as the law directs and is ordered to be recorded.

An additional Commission of the Peace for this county directed to Tristram Patton, Jacob Cook, Matt Farley, and Joseph Alderson was produced and read and thereupon the said Tristram Patton, Jacob Cook and Joseph Alderson took the oath and affirmation for giving assurance of Fidelity to the Common Wealth and supporting the Constitution of the United States and also the oath and affirmations of a Justice of the Peace and of a Justice of the county  Court in Chancery.
Absent James Alexander, Joh byrnside and William Vawter, Gentlemen .  Present Tristram Patton, Jacob Cook and Joseph Alderson, Gentlemen.

John Byrnside, Gent. produced aCommission from the Governor appointing him Surveyor of this County and there upon he together with William Graham and Henry McDaniel his securities entered into and acknowledged bond according to law and took the oath hereby appointed for the faithful execution of his office.

John Byrnside assignee of Dennis Cochran plantiff against John McDougall, defendant, in debt.  Joseph Parker and James Rolston of this county came into court and undertake for the defendant that in casehe shall be cast in tis suit he shall pay the condemnation of the court or render his body to prison in execution for the same or that they the said Joseph Parker and James Ralston will do it for him.

John Henderson, plantiff against Joseph Parker, defendant - indebt.  John McDougall ofthis county came into court and undertakes for the defendant that in case he shall be cast in this suit he shall satisfy and pay the condemnation of the court or render his body to prison in execution for the same or that they the said  John McDougall will do it for him.

Robert Patton, plantiff against Henry McDaniel, defendant - in debt.  Samuel Cantly of this county came into court and undertakes for the defendant that in case hs shall be cast in this suit he shall satisfy and pay the condemnation of the court or render his body to prison in execution for the same or that he the said Samuel Cantly will do it for him.

Robert Patton, plantiff against Isaac Kyzer and Thomas Steel, defendants- in debt.  Andrew Crozier of this county came into court and undertakes for the defendant Steel that in case he shall be cast in this suit he shall satisfy and pay the condemnation of the court or ender his body to prison in execution for the same or that he the said Andrew Crozier will do it for him.

A deed of trust between John McDougall of the one part and Isaac Estill, John Handley and James Slexander of another part and Samuel Ewing and John Handley, Trustees of the other part was proved by the oaths of James Christy, John Smith and Moses Prentice, witnesses thereto and is ordered to be recorded.

William Blanton, plantiff against John McDougall and James Chambers, defendants-in debt..  Joseph Parker and James Rolston of this county came into court and undertakes for the defendants that in case they shall be cast in this suit they shall satisfy and pay the condemnation of the court or render their boedies to prison in execution for the same or that they the said Joseph Parker and James Rolston will do it for them.

Ordered that the court be adjourned till tomorrow morning 10:0'clock.  The minutes of these proceedings were signed:  James Alexander

At Court of quarterly Sessions continued and held for Monroe County at the house of  James Alexander the 21st. day of August 1799. Present:  James Alexander, William Haynes, John Byrnside, William Vawter and Joseph Alderson, Gentlemen Justices.

An inventory and appraisement of the estate of Robert Wiley, deceased,  were returned and is ordered to be recorded.
