14 Hours with Beverley Mitchell

When not filming "7th Heaven," Beverley Mitchell is on cloud nine gardening and cooking in her new L.A. home.

10:30 a.m.

When I'm not working, I like to sleep in until about 10 a.m., and today is no different.  Immediately after I wake up, I take a shower and get dressed.  Here, I'm laying on my bed making sure the camera works.

10:45 a.m.

For breakfast I have a banana, which isn't much but it gives me a lot of energy.  There's nothing like breakfast in bed, no matter how simple.

11:07 a.m.

OK, don't laugh, I'm not a gardener, but I'm really getting into it.   This plant came with the house and I"m not sure what type it is but I like it.

11:32 a.m.

I've been decorating my new house for months, but there's still more to do.  This vase works well over my fireplace, doesn't it?  After this I move a few other things around, nothing too heavy.

1:30 p.m.

Lunch!  On top of learning how to garden, I'm also learning how to cook.  My best friend's mom gave me Cooking For Dummies so now I can whip up something more complicated that a PB&J.  Today I'm making my favorite dish, fettuccine Alfredo.

2:15 p.m.

There's nothing like an afternoon movie to kill time.  It's tough picking a DVD, though.  Dumb & Dumber or American Pie?  Decisions, decisions. 

3:07 p.m.

I'm only a half hour into the movie (I settle on American Pie) and I'm in serious need of a candy break.  I'll admit it - I'm a candy junkie.  I love Willy Wonka candy.  I'm currently in my Nerds phase.  Hmmm, that doesn't sound right, but you know what I mean.

4:30 p.m.

After the movie I catch up with my friends on the phone.  First I talk to Jainey, then Ali, both old friends from where I grew up, Ventura County.

5:15 p.m.

Time to check my e-mail and a few of my favorite sites.  I love thewb.com because of the pictures and I like to read the fan mail.  I'm also into eBay.  I've bid several times but have never won an auction.  Yet.

7:30 p.m.

After I make my roommate dinner, which consists of broiled steak, asparagus and rice, I enjoy a bowl of vanilla ice cream.

8:30 p.m.

Time to channel surf.  I settle on "Popular," which stars Carly Pope and Tammy Lynn Michaels, who are both friends of mine.  I like watching them - they're funny.

12:30 p.m.

Time for bed.  I snuggle up with my new puppy, Tucker (who's also pictured in the inset up top), before turning out the lights.
