Principles and techniques of popularizing technical and scientific materials for general audiences and publication in the mass media.

Course Objectives:

At the end of the semester, the students will be able to:

1. Explain the principles involved in popularizing technical and scientific journals for publication in the mass media.
2. Use strategies and techniques to popularize technical and scientific material for publication in the mass media.
3. Undertake research in technical and scientific journals to find materials that can be popularized.
4. Interview experts or writers of technical and scientific materials for clarification and more information.
5. Write at least four popularized articles from previously published technical and scientific materials at different stages of the semester, with increasing ranges of complication.
