Curry Recipe

Student Style!


Ingredients

  • For one..just double if u want it for 2...duh!
  • Curry powder - Medium to strong depending on yer taste (or lack of it hehehe) ((I get mine from safeway but all the supermarkets probably have it)).
  • Half a bag of Quorn (big chunky ones).
  • 1 tin of baked beans.
  • Chilli/Paprika powder ( luv the stuff).
  • 1 Onions.
  • Mushrooms, 5 or so.
  • Pepper.
  • Oil.
  • Abit of cheese.
  • Any other stuff u want ie vegies etc.
  • Im a vegitarian so i obviously have a meat substitute, just have chicken instead of Quorn about half a pound for one person make sure its breasts (hehehehe) cos they taste best..I remember well..hmmmmm..*LOL*, also cook 'em for longer than quorn cos u gotta get all those growth hormones they stick in the chickens out for when u eat it :)



Making it


  1. First do the rice it takes as long as the curry so start it now. (if ya dont know how to make rice tut tut...one cup for two peeps so half for one, stick the rice in a pan on full heat full of boiling water,it has to be covered at all times until u take it out, wait till done, when its soft but not toooo soft, then stick the rice in a collender and rinse with boiling water to get the starch off.)
  2. Chop up da onions.
  3. Chop Mushrooms. (wash em first)
  4. Stick the mushrooms in the frying pan on high-ish heat ie 5 out of 6.
  5. Wait till they look almost done then stick in the onions and Quorn.
  6. Stick in some curry powder (i put about 2 teaspoon fulls.)
  7. Wait till the onions are golden brown and the Quorn looks done.
  8. Put in the baked beanz, turn down the heat to about 2 or 1.
  9. Stick in the Paprika and chilli powder, as much as u want i.e. if u want it hot loadsa chilli powder.
  10. Grate some cheese (not to much unless u want it really sickly) into it and stir it in.
  11. Mix it well in and wait till the sauce form the beans has almost gone and then serve with Rice.
  12. I like to add Fuity HP sauce but thats just me :)
