AMAZON WILDLIFE.


    
Rainforests are home to millions of different and famous animals and plants. Including owler monkeys, squirrel, monkeys,caimans, anacondas, ocelots, trantulas, pink Amazon dolphins, piranhas and over 500 species of exotic birds.

AMAZING MONKEYS.-Monkeys can talk to each other in many ways,from far away they call to keep in contact with their group and to warn strangers away. Most monkeys eat leaves and fruit but some are adapted to eat more unusual things.

HOWLER MONKEYS.-Get their name from their very loud calls which can be heard over long distances. They can be found inside the Yanayacu community reserve.

SAKIS MONKEYS.-They place hard seeds in a special gap among their teeth which makes it easer to crack the seeds open.

MORMOSETS.-They are the only monkeys that eat gum and saps. They have special teeth which help them gnaw holes in trees trunks to let the gum drip out.

TOUCANS.-Live in the amazon, they have large light bills and long tongues. They feed on fruits, spiders and insects.

HOATZINS.-Called relic of the pre-history bird smell liked a cow dung this is because they eat leaves and as the leaves rot in their stomach, they give off a bad smell baby hotzins have claws which they use to climb trees.

PIRANHA.-Most piranhas eat seeds and nuts but some eat meat these swim in large groups and can eat an animal in a few minutes.

SPIDERS.-Spiders, predators of thousands of species live in the rainforest they hunt their food in different ways many of them catch insects an even small birds or reptiles made out of spider silk.

ANACONDAS.-Live near the river, they are biggest snakes in the world, they can grow up to 15 meter long, like some other big snakes.
