Songs lyrics that mean something

Over the years I have given newer bands less and less credit due to the overwhelming amount of crap that is out there. There are always exceptions. A few years ago I heard of the band Staind and wasn’t too impressed until I heard a song of theirs called “Fade”. The song perfectly echoed the sentiment I had about my father with its chorus that said;

“I just needed someone to talk to
You were just too busy with yourself
You were never there for me to express how I feel
I just stuffed it down
Now I’m older and I feel like I should let some of this anger fade
But it seems the surface I am scratching is the bed that I have made.”

The other night I heard a new song by them, and again have struck a chord on what I am feeling right now, and thought I would share with you all.

“Falling” by Staind

You
In your shell
Are you waiting for someone to rescue you
From yourself
Don't be disappointed when no one comes

Don't blame me you didn't get it
Don't blame me you didn't get it
Don't blame me you didn't get it

I already told you that falling is easy
It's getting back up that becomes the problem
Becomes the problem
If you don't believe you can find a way out
You've become the problem
Become the problem

You
All alone
Are you waiting for someone to make you whole?
Can't you see?
Aren't you tired of this dysfunctional routine?

Don't blame me you didn't get it
Don't blame me you didn't get it
Don't blame me you didn't get it

I already told you that falling is easy
It's getting back up that becomes the problem
Becomes the problem
If you don't believe you can find a way out
You've become the problem
Become the problem

I already told you that falling is easy
It's getting back up that becomes the problem
Becomes the problem
If you don't believe you can find a way out
You've become the problem
Become the problem

Falling is easy
It's getting back up that becomes the problem
Becomes the problem
And if you believe you can find a way out
Then you've solved the problem
You've solved your problem
