Weekend in Hell

History:
Some years ago, the War of Wrath was near its end. The people of Tanelorn had already suffered enough, and the beautiful lands had turned into wastelands. Despite all the evil growing stronger day by day, Tanelornians did not give up and all of them were fighting will all their forces.

Then a sudden turn took place in this war! In a direct battle against Meltrus, King Alastor managed to take the Crown of Corruption out of his head. Since the battle happened over a high Mountain near the Western Shore, the crown fell and was lost, or atleast the Lich King thought so. The evil artifact fell into the hands of a couple Tanelornians who were traveling by the shore. They knew what they had just found, and what they had to do.

If there was any place where the Crown of Corruption could be destroyed, it was deep inside the Great Abyss, the cursed place where the one who enters never returns...alive anyways.

The love for their kingdom gave them great courage! If they managed to destroy the crown inside the fires of the Great Abyss, the Lich King would not be destroyed, but would still lose much of his power.

So they traveled and arrived at the cursed place. They could hear the screams of thousands of lost souls at the entrance...their agony and suffering. All those screams seemed to join into one voice, echoing "you will die..."

Below shows the crown, found near the caost. Drawn by Galadrialle.

Meltrus and his assets lurking in the shadows of the Great Abyss. At his side the Crown of Corruption. Here is the only place where it can be destructed.

Characters

Aximos
Played By: Fallen Apocalypse
Killed by Meltrus. Fought with honor and pride.
Aximos is a dwarf, born and raised in Mount Firehill. As a boy, Aximos wasn't very well liked and got into many fights (which he didn't always win). Confused and angry, Aximos signed up for the Dwarven Army. He was well known for having a drinking problem. Aximos would drink whenever he could. In fact, he often broke formation and disobeyed orders because of his drunken state.

Because he couldn't control his drinking problem, he was given guard duty and was stationed somewhere on the west coast. One day, in his drunken gait, he came across a mysterious helm of great power. He didn't know what it was but could tell it was an evil artifact of great importance. He immediately set out to destroy it to prove his worth to everyone who had looked down upon him.

Cleopatra the Enchantress
Played By: Lord Perseus
Off Duty.
Cleopatra the Enchantress is the daughter of Leandre the bard. After her mom died, she decided to follow her dad everywhere he went, and so she did. At the age of only 12 she joined the group of Tanelornians, although she only carries a few runes she found and some clothes her dad gave her.
In a group she will be most likely to follow her dad or be in the middle, because she is easily scared. Sometimes she must be carried by others because she just can't move. For the rest she will try to use her runes, but she can be very clumsy.

Humble Servent
Played by: Galadrialle
A survivor, helped bring down Meltrus.
The birth location and parents are unknown of Humble Servent but what is known was recorded by the monks in the Temple of Rookgaard.
As a young child he had no name and was left to the care of monks in the temple at the center of the city. All others that came before had been much older and ready to learn, but this child was different. The monks did not know what to do with such a baby so they enlisted the aid of the city's fellow healer, Lily.
As the child grew, Lily was like a mother and taught him to always help others. Cipfried was like a father and taught him to always be humble. It's not known when exactly he came to be known as Humble Servent but it's a name that he grew into quite well.

The time spent on the small island away from the main land and Kingdom of Tanelorn afforded him the ability to fully explore his surroundings. He took his time in everything he did and always stopped to help others. He often was seen collecting blueberries to help Lily in the making of her healing runes and later became the pupil of Hyacinth, the wise druid on the hill.
It would seem his life's destiny was to remain on the island with his mentors and adoptive parents, but one day things changed. Word came from the mainland of a great war and the struggles that the citizens of Tanelorn had to endure. At first Humble Servent felt something new, something different in him. He felt anger and wanted to pick up a blade and help his kind. However he knew better... he was taught differently! Humble Servent went to the Eastern shore to collect his thoughts and decide what he could do.

When he finally came back to town he said his farewells to all those that took him in and taught him so much. His words were brief and good byes short as they all knew this is what they had trained him for, and so he was ready. After visiting the mighty Oracle he began his real journey to seek out his destiny.
After becoming a druid he made a quick visit to the local guild and learned some beginner spells, got a magical rod, and sought out his long lost brethren. Shortly after this his destiny was laid out before him as they ventured on the Western Shore and discoverd the mighty Crown of Corruption. It was all too clear what lay ahead for him and his new friends to do, but regardless it was his destiny and why he came to the Kingdom of Tanelorn.

Genon
Played By: Xanero
Killed by Meltrus. Fought with honor and pride.
During the War of Wrath, Genon was only a small boy. Both his parents were killed by Meltrus' minions while protecting their village. Genon was brought to the lands of Tanelorn by his grandfather, who died shortly after Genon was five years of age. He grew up as a fighter, quiet spoken and a keen observer. Genon very much hoped that he can revenge his parents deaths. Determined to fulfill his duty, he has trained to fight with his axe as one entity. Genon has also taken the time to learn a few basic survival spells. One day, while adventuring with his companions, they stumbled upon the Crown of Corruption. One look at this item, and Genon knew what he had to do. The opportunity had presented itself, and he would be a fool to ignore it..... Thus begins the quest.

Lean the Bard

A survivor and a companion.
Leandre was born in a village near the capital city of Tanelorn. His family was poor and they always battled a lot to live at least with some dignity. Tales from the capital city always came to the ears of the young boy who dreamed of fame and fortune.
By his own the young boy bought a lute and learned to play it. After some shows at the local pub a bard named Tom, the awesome, invited Leandre to join him and study history, tales and music to become a bard as well.
Leandre's parents agreed that it was a good opportunity for the boy to have a better life and he went traveling with Tom. Ten years later, when Tom passed away, the 18 year old man went back to the village in which he was born.

He made a new local pub named The Golden Lute, and Lean the bard was his new name. Stories and tales about the War of Wrath were told until it came true to the village. After a massacre done by undeads, Lean decide it was time to do something.
Altough he was not skilled in battle, he decide to travel, spreading his music to try to give some hope to the hearts of the people. Chaos was everywhere, and he joined a group of Tanelornians traveling by the Western Shore, where they found the Crown of Corruption and started the biggest quest of their lives, a weekend in hell...

Physical Description and Behaviour: Lean always carry a lute of pure gold with him, and says it was given to him by a king from far away lands who was very impressed with his music and Tanelornian tales. Zalius Blackreign
Played By: Sephyros
Off Duty.
Zalius Blackreign was a well-known name within the small town of Folda, however his fame was for all the wrong reasons. Zalius was a local mercenary and smuggler, often linked to the black market and illegal trading of Rum and Ales within the region. Zalius' past however, wasn't always so dark; in fact he was once kind hearted and of good nature.
Born into servitude under a local lord living in the province, Zalius spent most of his early years taking orders. As he grew older, the severity of his treatment increased until eventually a cold hatred grew inside of him. Darkness clouded his mind and at the age of 19 he turned Rogue, choosing to make his life in the underground.

The following years were dark ones indeed. Living in seedy squalors, and bandit ridden hideouts, Zalius made his trade working as hired help for the local gangs before slowly working his way into the importation of contraband goods.
Spiralling out of control, it would only be a matter of time before the young Zalius would be behind bars or worse, dead!
However, one old man saw Zalius for what he was; a misguided young man who had lost his way in the world. This man was Leeland of Venore, a trader who had previous encounters with the rogue traders. Leeland saw something in Zalius which had long since been extinguished, he saw hope and kindness and a will to be a better man.

Zalius was quick to reject these ideas, he was a rogue through and through after all, one of the men now, a hero of the wilderness! Zalius However couldn't help but admire the old man's persistence- no one had ever seen him as anything but a criminal and Leeland soon grew on him.
After a few months, the two become friends and often spent time in the local taverns. Leeland would tell of his adventures within the lands and how he fought for the glory of the kingdom many years ago. Zalius was fascinated; he had never envisioned a life outside of the underground. The thought of adventure intrigued him and he begged for Leeland to teach him so he too could follow through his friend's footsteps and experience the lands.

The old man agreed to take Zalius under his wing but only upon one condition, that he could prove he was a better man than his life lead people to believe. Prove that he didn't belong with the rogues, thugs and bandits. Zalius accepted and Leeland set him a worthy quest to prove his valour.
This quest lead Zalius to the western shores where he would meet a group of individuals to which he would prove he was worthy, a good man but to prove to himself he could change.
