When Hell Awakes

History:
The peace after the War of Wrath was good, but it seems it didn't last for too long. Recently attacks started to happen close to the capital city, Tanelorn. Villages were attacked and many people were killed. Some of them managed to flee to the capital. They report different versions of the attacks, involving both undeads, demons, and even vile humans.
In the last days, the attack started to get really close to Tanelorn, and managed to break the defenses of the city and to attack Castle Tanelorn. King Alastor immediately recruited the Guardians of Tanelorn to defend the city and its surroundings, and his best guards to defend his castle.
The leader of the undeads seems to be some kind of human, named Thanatus Soulstealer. What he is and why he is attacking Tanelorn are questions without answers thus far.
What are the secrets of this undead leader? What will happen to the kingdom of Tanelorn? Prepare yourself for the fight!


Part I:
The guards were prepared for a strong attack, but it was a real massive undead horde that came with full force, led by their most powerful enemy. After days of battle the undead horde managed to take control of Castle Tanelorn. A worried Alastor Ferindall immediately recruited the best guards of his troops and led the first attack to his own home. Many days with battles passed, and the Tanelornians didn't get control of their own Castle back. It seems that when the guards died, the evil Thanatus would raise their soulless body to fight at his side, which is what made the task of the castle guards most difficult. It seems that Thanatus is no longer at the Castle. He went through a portal to the Great Abyss with Meltrus' phylacteria fragment, which he stole from the Tanelorn Treasure Room. Without their leader and the dreadful artifact, the undeads lose forces day by day, and the heart of the guards are getting filled with hope once again...


Characters

Alastor Ferindall Played By: Galadrialle Part of the Castle Guards.

He is the current reigning King of Tanelorn in the year of 206. After many reports of the undead raising an army the King has begun to call for the Guardians of all cities to step forward. Currently those willing to fight are gathering in the great castle preparing for the worst.

Cleopatra the Enchantress Played By: Lord Perseus Part of the Castle Guards.

Cleopatra the Enchantress is the daughter of Leandre the bard. After her mother died, she decided to follow her father everywhere he went, and so she did. At the age of only 12, she joined a group of Tanelornians, although she only carried some runes she had found and some clothes her father had given her. After the crown was destroyed and the group got out of Hell, she lost track of her father. So, she followed Muzai because she trusted him, and they arrived at the castle, which was sieged by Thanatus. There she decided to fight against the undeads, because her father would have wanted her too. Even though she can be very clumsy, she has learned to use her runes well.

Genon Played By: Xanero Part of the Undead Hord.

After the battle with Meltrus in the Abyss, Genon's soul was consumed by the Abyss, into the Demon realm. Many months in the Demon realm passed, until he woke. During his stay there, Genon wandered to and fro until a voice spoke to him, telling him he was half devil, half human. That is how he is immune to the mortal agony experienced while in the Demon realm. The voice knew that Genon wanted very much to return to the mortal land. And so, the voice made a deal with the halfing. It was recorded that the voice said, "Go, and collect the souls of the Tanelorians and give them to me. Only then, will you be free of this realm. Go, follow Thanatus Soulstealer and his army, which will surface in two moons time." Upon hearing this, Genon knew what he must do. Having lost his axe in the battle with Meltrus, Genon slew a hellsbeast, and forged his new axe with the remains. Genon also forged a soul-capturing gauntlet, in which he must imprison the fallen Tanelorians' souls. With demon blood coursing through the half-breed's veins, and his new weapon by his side, Genon set out to destroy what he once vowed to protect.

Kusisupi Played By: Buzzfreak Part of the Castle Guards.

Kusisupi is one of many sons of the Minotaur King, Buzzfreak. When young, he was taught by his many mage brothers and sisters about the world of magic and how to properly use them. He graduated from Mintwallin Magic Academy at the age of 6. Kusisupi was later on called upon by the king, and accepted it. He was a brave soul, and was a major contribution to the guards' event.

Lean the Bard Played By: Ranger Aragorn Part of the Undead Hord.

Lean was a bard and owner of a famous pub, The Golden Lute. His life was simple and he traveled a lot with his tutor, Tom, who taught him the abilities of a bard. He is father to Cleopatra the Enchantress, and they both traveled together with a group of adventurers to the Great Abyss in order to destroy the Crown of Corruption.
During his trip to hell, a mysterious mist surrounded him while the group was fighting Meltrus. Altough the fight with Meltrus was to the group around one or two hours, Lean felt lost in the Mist for months, maybe years, and in this time he was corrupted by the powers of hell and driven mad due to all the evil things he heard, saw, and felt.
He managed to make it out of hell with the group, and they didn't notice Lean's true nature, an undead. After one or two months of the Crown Destruction, at the year 190, he left behind his daughter and The Golden Lute and entered the Great Abyss again. Now in the year 206 he returns as a black guard in the army of the evil Thanatus Soulstealer.

Lucio Junus Played By: Salacious Fury Part of the Undead Hord. What is this? Lucio with Orshabaal? He is truly an evil one.

In another life, Lucio Junus was a faithful squire of Meltrus'. He would follow the sorcerer in awe and dedicated his life to the study of Crunor's mysteries. After Meltrus was slain and returned as an undead, Lucio went to his master, out of loyalty, as a willing sacrifice to the Lich King. Lucio was killed and became the undead demon that he is today, following any undead leader that rises to power to continue to learn from them. He will follow this new leader...Thanatus Soulstealer, even unto the firey pits of hell....

Mhic Played by: Galadrialle Part of the Castle Guards.

Born and raised in Sanctuary, Mhic is but a young druid and helps on a farm hidden deep in the forest. He always dreamed of venturing to the capital city but never under such circumstances. With the dark forces coming closer and closer the King had sent for any and all volunteers from Sanctuary to help. With the eldest druid fearing for his own people, there were few he could spare. He asked for any volunteers to step forward, as he would order none to leave their lands. Reluctant and scared, Mhic knew what he must do; his training had come to this day and this choice. He stepped forward and already accepted the fate set before him.

Unlike most druids Mhic specializes in the healing of the dead, not the alive. He can not bring them to life but studied the teachings of Toth, the Warden of Souls, and helps put the dead to rest before they can be turned to the undead.

Muzai Hito Played By: Walpole Part of the Castle Guards.

Muzai is a very innocent person. He always believes in his fellow Tanelorians to fight for good and justice. Although his intentions in battle are well meant, he is phsically very weak. He is barely able to handle the medium bow that a kind archer gave him. He can always be found in the midst of battle, trying to fight for what he believes in, although he usually finds himself in the healer's tent the next day. This time he has decided to suppost his king, Alastor Ferindall, against the undead hordes.

Thanatus Soulstealer Played By: Ranger Aragorn Part of the Undead Hord.

At the year 206, the first reports of a new undead army arrived at the capital city. It seems some kind of humanoid leads the evil fighters, and calls himself Thanatus Soulstealer. He is often seen with a great hammer adorned with skulls, pleased to kill, and people say he feeds upon souls. No one is sure of his true nature; is he a lich? and undead? a demon? a necromancer? It doesn't really matter now, what everyone knows is that something wicked is coming this way!

Xipevop Played By: Neto Blackblade Part of the Undead Hord.

Xipevop was a member of the group of adventurers who found the crown of destruction at the Western Shore. Though, he could not go inside the Great Abyss with the group because he got lost in a sand storm at the Western Shore. Some days after the sand storm he was at the bay of the King's Gulf, near Carlin. Since that town was friends to Tanelorn, he decided to stop there and report the news about the Crown to the Queen. Although the women of Carlin did not like men, he was a hobbit afterall, and also a Tanelornian, so they offered him a chance to stay some days at the castle and rest.The hobbit bard fell in love with the Queen and tried to match it to her. Furious with the male attitude of the hobbit, the Queen ordered the guards to take him out of Carlin. The guards went too far, and they planned to teach a lesson by spanking the hobbit a bit, but ended up murdering him. His mortal wrists were cut, then they threw him inside a box and into the sea. After cold storms, winds and nights, the body arrived at the Western Shore of Tanelorn again, the only part of the body that remained was the stomach, and it was a monsterous huge walking dead stomach!!! Now this aberration joined Thanatus' army to eat some Tanelornians in this new possible war...

When Hell Awakes Part I


Alastor is surrounded!


The Undead Hord's victory! Alastor Ferindall is brought down by Lucio Junus's evil magic.
