A major part of my life has been working. I got my first job the summer after my sophmore year. It was nothing like I expected it to be, but I soon learned to love it. I work for Luv My Pet, a mobile vaccination clinic for cats and dogs. I started out as a cashier, but then learned how to do customer service. I currently work in the office during the week and CSR on weekends, but I miss cashiering.

There are some really great people at my job and there are even some who have worked there longer than I have. I have a whole second family at my job. My boss is Jill and she is my "cool aunt Jill." She is probably the nicest boss I will ever have. She is one of the smartest people I know and she helps me with all my crazy problems. Danielle is my "second mom" and she's one of my favorite people. She takes care of me by feeding me, kicking me out of the office when it's getting late, and teaching me all the things about life that my real parents skipped over. Eventually I'll move on with my life, but I'll always remember Danielle and all the things she's done for me.

I have a "third mom" too whose name is Heather. She only adopted me because I wanted the cheapest car in the world, my neon, and everyone else my age wants really expensive cars. My sister says Heather is a better mom for us, but she knows that Danielle is my favorite. Linda is my "grandma," she is Danielle's "mom." She doesn't really work for us anymore, but we pretend she does and we're hoping she'll come back.

The last two members of my family are Vinny and Christine, but we aren't sure how they fit in yet. Vinny is either my "second dad," "brother," or "uncle." He is a really cool person to talk to and has been through everything. I admire him because he could make a lot more money by getting another job for weekends, but he stays at our job just because he likes it. Christine is a bad influence on me; well, that's what Danielle says. She is either my "fourth mom," "aunt," or some sort of distant relative. I don't work with her too often, which keeps my "second mom" happy, but we see each other in the office every day and we talk a lot.

Because one job wasn't enough, I also work at Bristol Myers Squibb. That job is boring sometimes, but I'm learning a lot of new things from it. Kit is my supervisor and she's a very nice person. She tries to keep my work interesting and is always there to help if I need it. I also work a lot with Debbie. She constantly tells me how my work is always perfect, but she needs to stop before my ego gets too big. She's a really great person too.

People always ask me what I do there and I don't know what to tell them. My job title is intern, but that doesn't tell too much. I see myself as doing the things that no one else has time to do. I do a lot of filing and a few projects and various other tasks. My job is so exciting.
