Utah Valley is located 45 minutes south of Salt Lake City, Utah and the International Airport. Nestled at the base of the Wasatch Mountains, the cities of Provo and Orem have a combined population of 150,000 people. The climate is mild but has four seasons with average annual temperatures ranging from 21 degrees in January to 92 degrees in July.

In a 1991 survey by Money Magazine Provo/Orem was rated as No.1 in the nation in "The Best Places To Live In America" rankings. Since that time, the area has consistently rated in the top 20 best places to live. The latest published rating ranked Provo/Orem as 3rd.

Utah is one of the most literate states in the nation, graduating 94 percent of its high school students. Eighty percent of these go on to pursue higher education. The area has led the nation for three consecutive years in the number of high school students who qualify to take the Advanced Placement (A.P.) college exams.

Provo/Orem is one of the safest places in the nation to live. Crime is an estimated 60 percent below other regions. The crime rate in Utah Valley is only 41.5 crimes per 1000 people. This figure is two-to-three times less than comparable cities in the United States.

Provo/Orem is a great sports city. Brigham Young University and Utah Valley State College pack their sports arenas regularly. Some of the finest skiing in the world is less than an hour away. Golf, fishing, biking, hiking and camping attract visitors from all across the nation.
