The Utah Valley Golden Eagles organization was founded on
the principle that Junior "B" hockey should cater to the elite player who is on
his way to Junior "A" or NCAA Division I or III hockey.
As such, our program is ideal for midget aged players who need a higher and more physical
brand of hockey, to prepare for Junior "A", or high school graduates who need a
year or two of high caliber "fine-tuning" before moving on to University.
Our program is for the serious student of hockey. It consists of a
comprehensive program of hockey development which consists of the following:
- On ice training -
typically 5 practices or games per week
- Off ice training -
supervised weight training, plyometrics, agility training, flexibility, aerobic and
anaerobic conditioning
- Mental development -
chalk talk and video analysis 2 hours per week
- Exposure -
Tournaments will be geared to events with high scouting exposure. Coaches will help
players develop written and video resumes and actively promote them to higher level teams.
