| Story Alexiel, a favored and beloved angel of God, wages war against God (because she found out that God was experimenting on children?). She loses the war, and is punished by having her sould placed within a mortal body, Setsuna Mudou. Setsuna Mudou, a troubled high school student, loves his sister, Sara, in a way that a brother shouldn't. Sara also loves her brother in the same way. Because of this, their mother keeps them apart. Sara is only allowed to visit him once a month. One of Sara's friends receives this game, called "Angel Sanctuary", from a strange man named Katan. The game is used to collect energy from children, so that the Inorganic Angel Rosiel would be awakened from the Earth. Setsuna is blamed for the murders, and he runs away from home with his sister. On their way back home, one of Rosiel's pawns appears and attempts to kill Setsuna, but Sara jumps in the way and is killed instead. Being enraged at this, he unleashes his power deep inside of him, Alexiel's power, and destroys the world. This begins the story for Setsuna Mudou. |
