In God's absence, this child-like boy is the Ruler of Heaven, acting as the Voice of God. Sevotharte is behind all his actions, which would be why Metatron looks and acts like a child. Metatron's brother is Sandalphon, who is inside Metatron's stuffed rabbit.
Sandalphon is Metatron's twin brother. They were both created as "projects." The Sandalphon project was not completed, so a body was not made for Sandalphon (so he hates Metatron?). Since a body wasn't created for him, he was sealed inside of Metatron's toy rabbit, often appearing in Metatron's dreams. After breaking his seal, Sandalphon possesses Metatron's body and rapes Sevotharte (Laila) in order to make himself a body. Laila kills herself by jumping out of a window. Sandalphon's next target is Sara.
