Michael is the Angel of Fire, and also the Angel of Powers of the Angel forces. He's short, with red hair and a bad temper to match it. He gets very upset when Lucifer's name is mentioned (they're brothers). When Lucifel fell after the war, Michael went into some type of shock (?) and stopped growing physically, although his mind is mature, which would be why he is short and sometimes looks like a child. Raphael is Michael's best friend.
Raphael is the Angel of the Wind, and is also a Virtue (although he has none). Raphael is seemingly a type of playboy because he's always with a woman. Raphael gave up his innocence when he witnessed how Belial was not "pure like an angel should be." Raphael later stops his nasty habit because he falls in love with Sara. He also has the power to raise the dead, which we learn when he is forced to raise Setsuna and Sara (however, I don't think he was forced to raise Sara..^^; ).
