Robert purchased his land in West New Jersey between January and April 1677 in England. Robert and his wife came to America either on the ship Kent from London to New York to Perth Amboy to Raccoon Creek to Chygoes Island (now Burlington, NJ) after 16 August 1677 or the ship Greyhound from London to Old Swedes Church (now Philadelphia) in October 1677. Since their daughter Elizabeth was born on 7 September 1677 in Burlington Co., NJ, this would suggest they came on the Kent.
