Habits of Work Summation Paper
H.L.O stands for Hoover Learner Outcome in
this paper. I'll be talking about Habits of Work. Habits of Work is shown
when students work on organization. I will be talking about three projects
that involve Habits of Work. The three projects I will be discussing in
this summation paper which satisfy the Habits of Work are the Hulk Hogan
Autobiography, AOIT Video Project and the SIRS Research Project.
The first project I will be talking about is the Hulk Hogan Autobiography
that I completed in the12th grade. The project is about a famous
professional wrestler who revolutionized the world of sports
entertainment. From his great wrestling battles with legends like Andre
the Giant, "Macho Man" Randy Savage and Wrestler turned Actor
The Rock he has shown he can get the crowd on their feet and give the most
memorable performance that can last a life time. This project satisfies
the HLO because it cites a variety of primary and secondary sources to
validate research or support a project. It also uses statistics to make
generalization from data.
My second project that I will be talking about that satisfies the HLO of
Habits of Work is the AOIT Video Project. I completed it in the 12th
grade. This project involved group work in which we went around shooting
footage of AOIT classes and teachers. The AOIT video project satisfies
this Hoover Learner Outcome because I used appropriate electronic
information sources, including the internet, video camera, and CD ROMS, to
research, interpret, and process information. I also demonstrated
creativity by asking essential questions using habits of mind evidence,
connection, supposition and significance.
The last project that I would talk about is the SIRS Research Project that
I completed in 12th grade. This project was another group project in which
our group looks stuff up in the Internet and put information from the
article into a word document to use as our notes. The career research
paper satisfies the HLO Habits of Work because it uses appropriate
electronic information sources, including the internet, video camera, and
CD ROMS, to research, interpret, and process information. It also
satisfies the HLO habits of work because cities a variety of primary and
secondary sources to validate a research and support a project. .
The HLO Habits of Work is important because it teaches the students how to
be more organized in their work. By focusing on this Hoover Learner
Outcome at Hoover High School I have learned to work with groups and to
become a leader in a way. I've also learn to overcome shyness working with
new people in the groups.
